When I went to Australia I was affected by some of my experiences. On one small island I found that I had no electricity. It made me happy to have that at home. In future traveling I staying in more places like that and having light in the evenings was a challenge. Also in Australia I stayed on an island that is a national park and very wild like. I walked along a track and camped on the way. I had to go up a creak to get water to drink. It made me happy to have water from a tap at home. In Kenya I met the Masai Mara tribe and I found out about their way of life. It was touching and so fascinating. I have learned how to be more patient whilst waiting for planes, trains and buses. I love to go to historical sites and have learned much about World War II. That has made me understand all people are equal and peace is what counts. I hope that history will not repeat itself. So you can see man places have affected me.

I have no time and money to be ABLE TO TRAVEL FOR PLEAsure to different parts of the world. But my travel theree years ago changed my perspective in life. This happened when during work i traveled to Oriental Mindoro to do some investigation. It was fun because you have to ride a fast craft going there and pass thru bumpy roads... The problem started when going to the area theres no other mode of transportation except thru a motorcycle passing thru mountains and roads with holes!! After that you have to hike for one hour thru the river as according to my guide using the road will expose us to the NPAs operating in the area. After that one hour hike we reached our destination the Mangyan community.. My feeling at that time was that i was on a time machine because looking back 30 mins we saw people houses of the christians and 30 mins after I saw houses of the mangyans how they live, poverty, they dont have electric current and children with no slippers. Living a simple life which is very incomparable to the life we have here in the city and in the province. As we left the area I had a dufferent outlook in life because i/we complain of everything while there are people, IPs there who have nothing compared to us and yet enjoy life.!!
