I've been having trouble with the headphone jack on my laptop computer. The sound cuts in and out. I have to jiggle the plug from the headphones around to get the sound to come out properly. Does anyone else have this problem with their laptop or other electronic devices? How can it be fixed?

There is obviously a problem with the jack fitting into the plug, but the question is which one is at fault.
If the plug on the laptop is loose then it may require that you take it to be repaired, but I would suggest that you try another hesdphone or any 3.5mm audio equipment first to check that it is not the jack that is at fault.

I fixed the problem. There is a metal tab that was out of reach of the plug; I just had to use a really small screwdriver to bend the tab back to original position so that it can make contact once again with the plug from the headphone. The sound has been restored and is piping through to the headphones again. :)
