Hello mylot loves!
I'm a sims addict and not being able to play is driving me insane!
Do you have any idea what a DirectX 9.0c graphics adapter is?
Because I don't have this I can't play the sims 2.
I was able to play on this computer just fine almost a year ago. I took the sims2 off this computer and installed it on my laptop. When my laptop broke I tried to download it on this computer once again but than bam, this message came up!
So, simsperts and computer experts, what in the heck does this mean? And how can I get this graphics adapter? Any suggestions?
p.s. I'm terrible at computers so pleas dummy it down for me. lol. I would really appreciate it.

I don't know a lot about computers, but I do know that if the game was played on that computer before and you haven't changed your graphics card, then it should play. The only thing I can suggest is that you try re-installing the game.

I have a friend whose daughter used to play that game all the time and i couldn't understand the interest she had, she was completely addicted to it, it just didn't make sense to me but then I joined Facebook for a friend and on there, there is a thing called Yoville which is very similar to the Sims and it is free to join and you are actually interacting with the other people in the Yoville community, you have your own little character you can dress and an apartment to decorate and a place of work to go, furniture shops, gift shops, fashion shop and you earn play money in various way to spend in these shops and guess what I am completely addicted to it, I love it....maybe you should check that out, it is great interacting with the others...
