Have you been stereotyped?

There was a bit story all over the news a short while ago in my area about a girl that dressed a bit different, she had dreadlocks, wore a lot of black make-up, gothic clothing and a lot of piercings. One night she was walking through the park with her boyfriend and a group of young teenage boys were shouting insults at them, calling them weired, goths etc. The boys ended up assaulting them both to the point that the paramedics couldn't tell who was male or female. The boyfriend got better but the girl ended up dying in hospital a couple of days later. The teenage kids are now in prison but in my opinion it isn't long enough, they should never be allowed to see the light of day again. The parents should be locked up too because in court they were laughing about it, which is disgusting. I used to get comments from people because I used to have a lot of piercings and brightly coloured hair. Have you ever been stereotyped, if so why?
