Whose Endorsement Counts With You!

We've all gotten a bit cynical about celebrity endorsements for political candidates. In fact, we don't even trust political, financial or church leaders all that much. A lot of them have given us good reason for cynicism.
Still, most of us still have that one well know person whose endorsement counts. For me, Warren Buffet is the man. I really respect his expertise, his lack of interest in the trappings of wealth and his social conscience. (Being a Philly gal, it doesn't hurt that he went to Penn.)
So, who would you trust enough to be impressed by their endorsement for a political candidate?

Angelina Jolie and Bono's endorsements would impress me. Those are two celebrities with a lot of heart. Although, that of course wouldn't dictate who I supported.

Really? I didn't know that, LOL. I don't pay much attention to celebrities (or mainstream music). I just know about the organizations he has and what he advocates for. But I will retract my statement.

Honestly? No one. Now if Billy Graham were younger and still active in society I would listen to him. But he really isn't a celebrity. Even so, I wouldn't back a politician just because he endorsed them. I'd have to look into it myself. I think a lot of people endorse people for very good reasons, but I'm never sure what their motives are.

That's okay I wasn't really looking for celebrity endorsements, I just mentioned that most of us don't count them. I was actually looking for a well know person who you could still respect. I respect Billy Graham a lot but one of the things I respect him for is the fact that he never in his long tenure with fame endorsed any political candidate. There's another evangelist like that now. His name is Joel something or other but he also will not give a political endorsement and I also respect him for that.

I can't think of a single person whose endorsement would influence how I voted. Some endorsements are completely meaningless such as Bill Richardson who eagerly changed his endorsement once Obama took the lead from Hillary in the primaries. Most celebrities are clueless regarding politics so I can't even begin to take their endorsements into consideration.

I admit that Richardson endorsement infuriated me. Talk about ungrateful.
