The Desktop is the best machine for playing games and doing all those high perfomance software.
Playing games because the machine will get heated up. The desktop is better in coping with heat rather than a notebook since it has more space and therefore it can larger cooling facilities. Also it can stand for longer periods of time and since the gamers want to play for long hours, this is a major plus point. If you use the laptop for such tasks, it will get heated very fastly and using it for a long time for high graphics games can render it useless. I had many friends who played long hours on the lap. After a few months, the touch pad and the buttons startedshowing problems. One of their laps graphics card was destroyted after 6 months and it blew up after around one year of use.
But laptops are good for almost all other applications. They are of immense help in browsing because while using a lap you don't need to move your fingers much and there is no mouse and the wires.

I have worked in both system Notebook as well as Desktop. I prefer Desktop because We work on table and mood became always fress no borring. When we work on notebook then I feel uneasiness. But depends upon your habit like you work regularly on desktop then you feel uneasiness in working on notebook and vice-versa.

Great question. Sounds like it's easy to answer on the surface, right? Laptops are mobile, desktops aren't. But there's more to it than that. Here are some issues to consider:
One of the major places where laptops and desktops differ is in how much hard drive space they offer. Laptops use physically smaller drives, which can only offer so much storage space. Though larger drives are available, 100GB is still common on a laptop, while 500GB desktop drives are seen all the time (again, bigger drives can be had). This is a huge difference and it seems to be expanding, not contracting. If you have very large storage needs, desktop is your best bet.
Speaking of upgrades, it's more difficult to upgrade a laptop. In some cases, it's impossible: Sure, you can pop in a new hard drive later, but adding a second hard drive means plugging in an external disk that will be cumbersome to tote around with you. Many laptop optical drives can't really be upgraded at all, nor can motherboards or CPUs. Laptop repairs are far more expensive and difficult than desktop PC repairs.

i haven't used a desktop in ages, i've been using a notebook for the past few years- at home and at work. using a notebook allows me to use the computer and get connected wherever i am- in my bedroom, living room, dining hall, patio haha..

I think desktop is better than notebook for home use. you are not able to play games freely on notebook, but for office work notebook is preferable. due to convinient and easy mobility of notebook.
