is getting pierced addictive?

Piercings are very addictive. I got my ears pierced when I was 1 then when I was 11 I got 2 more done in my ears, I was 12 when I got my nose pierced, 13 when I put 4 more holes in my ears, 14 when I got my tongue, 15 did 2 more holes in my ears, 16 got my belly button done, and 17 got my eyebrow done but took it out and repierced it when I was 21 so I have a total of 14 piercings right now. I want to get the monroe piercing done next and maybe some more in my ears.

I have 2 did one myself, but its my partner who has the bug she has 20 both ears, nose, lip, belly button, tounge and eyebrow. She did her ears herself and got the rest done professionally. I have to say in my little experience, the piercing i did myself did not hurt one bit but the one I had done in a shop hurt alot.

I think its addictive depending on how much pain you can tolerate. I myself am a big chicken when it comes to pain, but I do have my ears double pierced. My mom went ahead and got 3 in each ear and still wears all of them to this day (she's 60) and my brother went way overboard. I actually have no idea how many he has! I have to say it is fun, but after the 2nd pierce I decided that was enough.
