How much money did you spend on books?

I spent about $250 I'd say on books (that's an estimation). I bought several of my books from Amazon for so much cheaper than the bookstore was selling them. The other books I had to purchase from the bookstore because I couldn't find them cheaper anywhere. At the bookstore I spent $176.

this semester, still taking 5 classes i paid about 150. last semester about 550. ridiculous!

THe prices for my books varied from semester to semester. I was able to buy a lot of my books from Amazon.com through their used book section. I think the most I spent one semester was 450 with the text books, but when it was just novels, i think i spent about 100.

AT about 60$, I could have bought all the books I needed for the semester. The tricks is buy some great book like International edition stuff only if if you think they would be of great help, then the rest are like used or Low price edition. Man, it pains to buy a glossy chemistry book and worse is its too heavy to bring along, you will look like a geek.

What a lot of money.It is a good job you can afford it.It must be terrible for those kids who have to leave school because they cannot afford it.I expect next year when my son does his Alevels we will have to spend a bit on books but it will be worth every penny if it helps him get on and leave school with good qualifications.You cannot beat a good education it sets you up for life,we are hoping he goes on to university after that ,as there is not a lot our there at the moment.They say all this down turn will last for another twenty years so only the best will stand a chance of a good job.Up till now the school has provided all of his books and equipment except for pens, pencils and all that small stuff.Thanks for giving me some idea of how much it likely to cost.

Normally the expense of my books of 5 class is around 10$, surprise na? Well, thats because I live in 3rd world country where you can hardly find real books, all are pirated. So, doesn't cost you much, but still expensive from my point of view. $450 is lot of money, you can buy Xbox 360 every semester. oh My !!!!
