were you able to see an opportunity to earn money?

When I was in my teenage years, I had this vision to earn money. I say, an opportunity to earn money. I went to downtown area, bought 2 wallets, and sell it to my classmates. Later, I started to buy fans, sign pens, stationary pads, and sell it to them. They also some stuffs, which I buy for them and sell it at a higher price. I was able to earn a lot of money. It was a success.
Now, I'm thinking of doing that again. But I think it won't work, because my friends knows where to buy things. we have malls already, everything can be seen there. This kind of money earn is not going to work anymore.
Can you give me an example of a time when you were able to see an opportunity to earn money? How did you anticipate and what did you do? What was the outcome?

I like your post, reminded me of my young years in when I was studying in Manila. I see brownies that my aunt bake and sometimes I accept installment basis. And then when I was in college I had a lending business. I saved up my money since I had a scholarship. Many friends would borrow and pay installment. I think it is better that way coz my friends doesn't have more money. I also tried selling rice with my officemates in installment basis. I sold digital cameras, used laptops for installment basis. I had a lot of money but when I had my son I had no more time. I have to finish all business and fly to Japan. So now here, I am working full time offline and also part time online for fun. I get good money from content writing.

you are hardworking, I like that. I also remembered making chicken and tuna sandwiches and sell it to my classmates. One time, nobody buy my sandwiches because there was an affair. I end up eating the sandwiches. I also ate them for dinner. the next day I did not sell any sandwiches.
