Do you hate to wash clothes? Sometimes I put it off until I have around 4 or 5 loads before I wash clothes. I don't know why, I know all that I have to do is put them in the washer and dryer. I guess it's because I know that when their done I have to fold and put them away or hang them up.
As least it isn't as bad as when I had to hang them on the clothes line out side, wait for them to dry and then bring them in and put them away. I can remember when My children were little we had a wringer type washer, you had to fill tubes up to rinse the clothes in, I would have to wash some of their clothes out in the bathtub sometimes and hang them out inside the house because you couldn't use the washer because of the weather.

I have never minded doing
my own clothes.sometimes I forget and they stay in the in the washer for a few hours. But our dryer has that buzzer when it stops, so when I hear it I go down, put my clothes on hangers, take it upstairs in our closet.

I wish my dryer had a buzzer on it. If I don't keep checking the next thing you know the clothes will be done and full of wrinkles if your careful.

I don't never look at the washing instructions on my clothes. I just sort them like I think they should go. Most of the time I wash my clothes in cold water.

I actually love hanging my clothes outside I do laundry daily... at least one load per day, to stay on top of it all. I rarely use my dryer. I prefer to economize and, when it's too cold and snowy to dry things outdoors, I have a freestanding rack in my laundry room that accommodates a full load. I don't mind the washing and drying or even the folding - it's the putting things away that gets me every time. I just really hate that part of the process.

Maybe I need to get one of them rack, but my laundry room isn't all that big though. But putting them away is the biggest thing to me to. When I was married, my husband told me the only time that I could use the dryer was when it was raining. One day he made the remark that it must have rained every day since I got the dryer because I never hang out any clothes.

I feel the same way. I don't mind washing, drying, or even folding the laundry. However, for some reason, I totally HATE putting it all away. My wife usually folds the laundry and puts it away. I will help with the folding when we are home together though....

I don't mind washing my clothes. I only do the laundry about once a week. The one thing I hate about doing laundry is the putting away of the clothes. Sometimes the clothes never get put away. They just stay in the basket until they're needed.

There is sometimes that I will take them out of the dryer and lay them across one of my spare beds and wait until the next day to put them away. I have just kept pulling clothes off the bed and wearing them, the next thing I know all the clothes are back in the hamper, dirty and ready to wash again.

Washing clothes is one of the easiest things for me to do. I may wash a load or two a day. I use a water saver machine, so I can wash small loads. I remember the wringer type machine from my younger days. We had a wash house where my mother's washing machines and tubs were. We had to haul water, though, from my daddy's sisters because we all used well water and ours didn't produce enough to wash in. But Mother washed all the time in the wash house and sometimes used the rub board in a wash pot over a fire. I am telling my age with that, for sure!

I can remember helping one of my friends wash clothes one time, this is before I was grown and had my own machine, but her mother had 10 kids and it would take us all day to wash and dry the clothes on the line. I even got my arm caught in the wringer one time, us kids didn't know what to do so we wrong it back out it's a wonder that I didn't break my arm.

My goodness! 10 kids and washing all day? My husband is the 11th of 12 children, but they were all around 2 1/2 to 3 years apart, so 6 of them were married when he was born, so I don't think his Mother ever had that much washing to do at a time. But she did have a wringer type washer on the back porch and all the clothes had to be hung on the line. So did ours when I was home. Thank goodness for dryers. The ones I don't put in the dryer are hung up in the laundry room or my bathroom to dry.

I think they they would wait about a week before they would wash clothes. One of the reasons that I don't hang out my clothes anymore because I don't like how stiff that they fill. Even when I use a f. softener their still not soft.

Sweet, I used to not mind doing laundry...then my family size grew. I now have four children to deal with and laundry seems to be a never ending chore. I hear myself moaning and groaning of "not again!", especially when I've cleared out the baskets and linens. Just when I thought I was done, it happens all over again. Oh, and the babies LOVE to pull out the clothes and scatter them every where. Then, they mix the dirty clothes with a clean.
But, doing the laundry itself isn't something I don't mind too much, it's putting them away. I can put away my own clothes, even my babies, but the older ones are a hopeless case. I can't get them to take care of their laundry and my sanity like I would mine.

My kids loved to change clothes all the time. Every time you turned around they had put something else on. I guess I washed as many clean clothes back then as I did the dirty ones because of it. With my oldest two when they was babies I used cloth dipers so not only did you have dirty clothes to wash you had them nasty things to wash and hang out to.

There are just 3 in my household. Myself, my wife, and my dad whom I am a caregiver fopr. So we actually don't have a lot of cloithes to speak of to wash. I do the laundry very seldom as I have a hard time climbing up stairs and the washer and dryer are downstairs. Buit I do it sometimes anyhow when my legs don't bother me. I like washing a load as soon as they gather. Otherwise my wife does the wash on weekends. Sometimes 4 or 5 loads. So I like doing it right away as opposed to waiting for more than a load.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I average laundry once a week, but like every other household chore I tend to procrastinate. I used to use a laundromat but now I have my own laundry pair washer and dryer. I live in a condominium so I cannot have an outside drying line. I am old enough to remember those old wringer washers. My mother used them and they lasted forever. I worked in an appliance store for awhile and some people actually still use those old washers, apparently some places where the have water problems they do a better job on cleaning the clothes.

I love washing clothes, folding/ironing them when they dry, keeping the closet organized. Even if i am 8-months pregnant now, I still do the washing even with our beddings, blankets, curtains, seat covers, etc. We are three in the family and I usually wash our clothes twice a week and our beddings/curtains/etc once a week. I usually put the clothes in hangers and let the air dry them. I only used dryers during the rainy season.

Me too got a strange laziness if I had to do the laundry. But since I only wash my own and since I always half naked ( no tops ) if I'm at home ( which I seldom went anywhere ), I have no problem at all to delay all the clothes issue 1 week

i love to wash clothes and to dry them in the sun. I like even hand washing the clothes if i have the time. I soak the clothes for a few hours and then wash them on the washing stone. But on a normal day i wash at least one load of clothes in the washing machine first thing in the morning as I am preparing breakfast and spread it out for drying.Generally they are dry by late afternoon and then i fold them straight away and put them away. I like this routine, don't mind doing it day after day

I usually do laundry once or twice a week. I don't like to keep the worn clothes for too long especially for those clothes get splashed when eating, I will wash them immediately when I get home.

I don't hate doing laundry, but for some reason I always put it off until I am down to my last pair of undies. I guess it's just hard to find the time between work and school. It's not so bad now that I have an apartment and it's much closer and easier, but when I lived in the dormitory I had to sit and watch my laundry (like watching paint dry) because other people would steal or throw out your clothes. Someone needs to invent self-washing clothes....I mean we have a vacuum cleaner that moves around by itself, so why not clothes that take care of themselves??!!

i like to wash my clothes and i do so at least two times per week. but at times especially i hate doing so cause the clothes tend to take so much to dry and there are some clothes that i usually wash by hand and in winter the water seem so cold.

Yeah--I am living in Spain right now and most houses do not own a dryer. You normally line-dry your clothes and it DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!! It takes like 2 days for your clothes to become dry again. And the washers are a lot smaller and take a lot longer to wash here. So 2 loads of laundry that are not dry, that need to be line dried, essentially take up to 5 or 6 hours to get them in the washer and on the line. We have to wash our clothes every 2 days or so....it is becoming a little ridiculous. I thought I hated washing my clothes in the US but I would prefer that than what I have to deal with right now.
