With all the bribery bruhaha... shouting and bickering the whole country heard on the radio, read in the newspaper, and saw on tv... i guess the so called 50 million bribe went to waste... since the Alabang Boys are still in jail... this just proves how powerful the media can be... and how there is hope in our country that the wrong can be made right by just one person who is willing to stand up and be different amidst the graft and corruption around... I hope in this case... justice will be eventually be served... and that those who are indeed guilty of drug trafficking... bribery... and accepting the bribe money will indeed be punished... even if it takes years... as long as justice will come to them... and that these boy will remain in the custody of authorities... i am okay with that...

Hi aseretdd, I am also happy about this and admire for the people who really stand for what they believe! I also admire the effort of media people who gives focus on this issue! AT least, not everyone in the position are hungry for money and bribes!

Well, there are a few government officials who still live by the principle... but they are a rare breed... and when they do stand up for what they believe in... that usually result to a media frenzy... i just hope that justice will be serve in this case... Thanks for the response...

I just hope that media would be able to maintain their stance to support these people that stand in their principle. It is pretty obvious too that not only are those that stand in government offices can be bribed but media as well. These institution is not immune from being bought too at times.

Well, i think this is one advantage of having this network wars... there is a a sort of invisible check and balance... since not all media personel can be bribed... and it would be odd if one station would report something totally different of bias as what the other network is reporting... bribery would surely be not missed in that situation... Thanks for the response...

Yeah but this moneyed syndicates might as well bribed the two or three major stations to silence themselves and that can also happen.

I just hope that since the media is no longer hyped up about this story... that justice will still be served... there are times when things are hushed up... and the criminals get free without the public ever knowing about it... Thanks for the response...

I just can't resist to read this discussion and give some views. You know, I am not on one side of the issue, but I know how cases are going through at the office of the prosecutors. I know also that there are corruption within the government and maybe, not only in the government, bribery is everywhere. If there really was bribery happened between those people, I guess Chief Zuño is out of that issue. I believe in Chief Zuño's integrity, in how he handles the cases and also the people within his administration. Let justice be served and let those clean be cleared...

It's a good change for the justice system to actually succumb to the influence of media instead of the government controlling the media by getting rid of journalists that threaten to expose their misconduct. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

It is also not good if the government will control the media... that will be like a violation of Freedom of the Press and of Speech thingy... but the media also needs to be responsible in presenting the honest news to the people... Thanks for the response...

It's just sad that even though the evidences are as clear as crystal, and the suspects were actually caught in the act, justice still evades us. It's as if somebody slapped you in the face and there were thousands of witnesses but still the assailant was cleared of the charges.

it is really hard to tell whether the prosecutors who handled or dismissed the case were right or wrong in their decision because the whole resolution was not discussed in public. people based their judgment mainly on what they hear over the tv, radio or newspaper. in my opinion, everybody who participated in this matter, including the pdea officials should be investigated for possible bribery and not only the prosecutors. pdea should accept and open their minds to the fact that maybe they have shortcomings in their operations. maybe they should professionalized better and plan their operations in conformity with law. the alabang boys have rights too which should be protected by the constitution. i just hope that the truth would come out eventually.
