Does It Need to Be 4-5 lines Long?

I am wondering why it has to be 4-5 liners to earn from your responses/comments here at my lot. There are lots of discussions that can be answered fully in short sentences. Clear responses even became vague because others obviously just wanted to lengthen their answers. Does it really need to long posts to earn here? Are short quality answers not worth rewarding?

MyLot pays for quality. There is likely to be more quality in a longer response than a short one. You can also get more of your point of view across in a longer response. It probably all boils down to the fact that if you are here only for the money you will not find it as enjoyable as when you are here for the fun. I never count how many lines my responses consist of. I just state what I want to say without thinking about the earning part and then it's more of a surprise. Have and happy Lotting!

It can be more quality in a longer response - but it can just be for earning money as well. I never check my lines when responding here. I just write the things I want to say, but for some - like me when the language is a problem I do believe that long responses are not as frequent. The ability to copy and paste (like I would like to do to get my spelling better in word) would do much for me!

I would never have guessed that you have any problems at all with English as it seems just fine to me and I'm sure mine is worse! I can see that copy/paste could help you but even though I have long been able to use it I never do. I take a quick look before I submit my responses and sometimes miss something too

@mysdianait, I agree that longer explanations should have made things clearer. But some responses I read here just went round around the bush. Specially when the discussion is answerable by yes or no. I have a feeling that you really don't need to count your words when you post. You are very fluid in your posts and have a way of expanding the topic. Thank you for your input.

Until now, I still don't what are the criterias of giving us how much of our earnings here. Is it through the quality of our responses? But how do they rate us? Ar they all reading our responses that we are making here?Or is it really important make our responses very long? Well I still dont know the answer. All I can share is that, I reached my minimum payout when I have 250 post. Simply because I post long responses in every discussions that I am into. Try to do the same, express all the ideas that you have for that certain topic and just enjoy your stay here! Happy posting!

I can't imagine how myLot staff crawls every discussion to pick the quality posts. Thanks for sharing your experience. It really shows that long posts do matter.

I think there is no hard and fast rules regarding the length of the response. As long it is to the discussion it will be fine even to give a shoter answer. If you are to the point i think it is ok to give short and sweet replies.

I agree too that short answers are enough if we are answering simple questions. But if we really want to earn some, then we have to post longer responses. Thanks for replying.

Everyone is claiming that if a person write an answer which is 4 to 5 lines long then they will get rewarded somehow. Sure, some questions can be answered with really long answers. On the other hand, many others can be answered with really short answers. I guess it all depends on the questions which is asked. I prefer short answers usually since I prefer to give the answer instead of beating around the bush. Each site has their rules which can be used to maximise ones earnings though. Happy myLotting folks.

I do wish we will be awarded both for short and long quality responses. Thanks for replying.

I think that it's way better to write a short response that are helpful - than write a lot of crap just to get rewarded. I'm one of those with short responses for most days - since I think it's hard to write long responses since English isn't my first language.

I agree with you. Just like your response here - not so long but satisfactory. Thank you.

Hi eichs, I'm not sure if it is a requirement to have 4-5 liners. but what is clear is to give a very descriptive answer. But if you can be descriptive in short messages, then I guess its fine. I myself dont post lengthy responses. take care

I think others did noticed that their longer answers are more sure to earn than short ones. I try to make my posts short too specially if I think I'll just be repeating older posts.
