Beginning of spring and it's snowing

Woke up this morning and my 3yr old son was in the bed beside me. He said mammy teacher said it would be spring on Monday when we go back to school. I said yes it is and hopefully it starts to get sunny and warmer.
Low and behold I get up 5minutes later, pull the curtains and the place is covered in a sheet of snow. Couldn't believe my eyes. I know it was very cold yesterday but it has been cold for the last month. I wasn't expecting to wake up to snow though.
So now I am in work with all the heaters on and trying to warm my hands up after being outside making snow men.

I also woke up to a blanket of snow. I knew from the weathercast last night that it would snow but I didn't think we would be hit so hard here in the midlands. Every time the sun peeps out, I think that is the end of it, but then it clouds over and down comes another torrent of snow. And, I believe it is to get worse tomorrow with snow spreading across the whole country. I love the snow but I feel sorry for all the people who have to drive to and from work on the dangerous roads.

Are you from Ireland? Yep I thought the snow had stopped but just as I went to drive to work, it started again. I have driving when its raining let alone when it is snowing. I am afraid the car will skid out of control. And you always get some eejit that will still speed and fly all over the place when the weather is this bad.

Yes, I am originally from Dublin and I am now living in Ballyroan, just outside Abbeyleix. The weather is supposed to get a lot worse tonight and tomorrow so take care while driving and steer clear of the eejits. They are everywhere!

Not far from us. Yep have just heard on the news that it is to get really bad in the east tonight. Once I get home from work at about 6:30, I will be in for the night with the heating on full blast.
Enjoy the snow, hopefully it won't last too long, lol.

Well, here in Missouri we don't start getting Spring weather till about March or April...so we still have a while to go. Even then it just goes from cold and snow to cold and wet with all the rain. We don't actually get nice warm weather till about May. That seems so far away.

Here in Ireland we dont get very good weather either. We are looking if we get a month of sunshine. Last April was gorgeous and then the rest of the summer was crap but I havent seen weather like this in years.
