For those of you who actually do get snow..
When was the last time you went outside and played in the snow like a child?
I did yesterday. It was rather warm, at least above freezing. The sun was shining, and the snow was wet! So we went out and enjoyed ourselves. We had snowball fights, we threw the kids into snow banks. I lost my shoe in a snowbank! And we took turns burying each other in the snow. I was the only one who didn't get buried. The last one to get buried was hubby, and after that he was so cold he had to go inside. But it was fun none the less! Here's a pic of my daughter buried in the snow.
When was the last time you played in the snow?

Hello my dear katsmeow Ji,
I never witnessed any snow during my child-hood, it took me almost 60 yrs of my age,
while I visited Ny/New jersy in December 2003, we were in snow-fall for 4 days. it
was most enjoyable part of my life. We were almost 4 feet deep snow, and we had to
clear the snow every next day morning, befor starting our cars. It was a life time
experience. may god bless you and have great time.

It snowed here a week or so ago, but I'm afraid I watched the kids playing in it from the kitchen window. We had some houseguests at the time who didn't mind joining in though, so we had two huge snowmen built. One was at the house and was kitted out with scarf, gloves and hat and the other was at the farm. That one stood about a metre taller than the guys, but noone was willing to give up their clothing so it had to stay naked!

It has been a long time since I have played in the snow. For some reason I just can't take the cold like I used to. Our kids haven't really been old enough to take outside either. Now they are older but we can't seem to get the timing right as far as the weather goes. If it is above freezing we seem to never have snow left to play in. And when we finally get snow to play in, it is so cold we can't go outside to play.

The last time I played in the snow was just yesterday. I made a snowman, and then after I took pictures my dog took care of the snowman. She loves playing in the snow, and particularly loves when the snow shovel comes out! She loves having shovels full of snow thrown at her, she tries to catch them. It was actually starting to melt a little, but the snowman came out ok.

Oh yeah, you reminded me that we'd played baseball too, the shovel was the bat, and snow were the baseballs, lol.

It is a long time for me to play in the snow. In my hometown, I always played snow with my cousins. We played snowball fights and buried each other too. It was really enjoyable times. I miss them very much. No matter how cold it was, we had fun there together.

haha how much fun is that. My son would of loved burying me or his dad in the snow. That is so cool.
I don't particularly like the cold weather, but playing in the snow with my son, I do like. He loves the snow. He would rather be outside playing in it than at school LOL

I wish I could remember. I am thinking it was about 18 years ago when my own kids were little and my sister and I took them to the park to sled. I can remember going down the hill in an intertube and feeling my fat butt drag the snow in the hole in the middle.....rofl!! I don't think I have EVER gone out with my grandchildren, but they aren't around me that much to take out IF they have their winter clothes with them, and most of them are 5 and under. I can't remember taking the 13 year old out as she was growing up. I can remember throwing snowballs at her as we were going to and from the car, but that is about it. Wow, all the fun that I have missed over the years, huh? I think I would be too cold right away now a days!

We live in San Antonio, so we never get snow. But, we did visit my Mom in Chicago over the holidays. There was so much snow there. It was so fun! We shoveled the driveway and then had a snowball fight. My boys were in heaven because we don't get to have snowball fights here. My youngest son also tried to build a fort. He was so excited to do that! It was great.

The last time I had fun in the snow was when I was about 9 and, believe me, that was a long time ago! We lived in Italy and we resided relatively close to the Swiss border so we used to vacation on the ski slopes every year. We moved to Australia when I was 10 and now we live on the coast of Western Australia so we have plenty of beaches but no snow! Ever! Boo! Hoo!

The last time I played in the snow was as a child. We used to build snowmen and have fights with snow balls. I am so glad that you all had so much fun as a family and it gave the time for the children to use up their energy too! I just love the photo of your daughter. They are all so wondeful. We did not do the burying in the snow though - that would not have been appreciated by my mother. She would have been so cross with us

My 6 year old son wasn't crazy about being buried. He actually started crying and I wasn't able to get a picture of him because of the crying. He was already very cold before that point though, and kept asking to go in, but we were hoping he'd forget about being cold and start having fun. Oh well.
My 2 year old on the other hand really loved getting buried. He kept sitting in that spot waiting for us to dump snow on him. I got a picture of him as well, although we didn't actually bury him, just covered his legs.

I like the picture! hehe I always get buried in the sand by my sister, I never get buried in the snow :-O Isn't it too cold?? And your daughter was smiling too!:-p My puppy likes snow a lot, I like to play with him in the snow, I use the shovel to pour snow on him and throw him snowball :-p When the snow turns to be a sheet of ice, he thinks the pieces of ices are cookies :-p :-p

The kids weren't cold because they were all wearing thick coats, hats, gloves, snowpants and boots. It did make my husband too cold though because he was not wearing snow pants. And my 6 year old son was already cold to begin with, his gloves were too thin. I didn't try it, and hubby was ready to go in right after we unburied him, lol. But my daughter would have stayed out there a few more hours if I'd let her.

Yesterday for me too!...It was a nice sunny day above freezing for a change...makes a big difference when the sun is shining and its a little warmer..Its great to have a good day sliding in the snow or even watching the grandkids do it as I no longer can , but getting some great fresh air and afterwards coming in to a nice warm fire and a cup of hot chocolate...Great for the sole!

And as I speak, we are in the beginning of yet another major snow storm, the 8th of the season, and calling for approx. 20c

The last time we played in the snow was a week after Christmas. We tied the GT to the truck and took turns pulling each other around our property and riding with the kids. We had a blast despite the cold weather - it's usually -30C here. So, you can imagine that we don't go out to play very much! I get to feeling a little cooped up in the winter.

We played in it for a few minutes yesterday.. That was our first snow in quite awhile but it wasn't that cold here either.. I started to make a snow angel but my husband reminded me that I was too old to be getting up and down in the snow, lol and he is right, I couldn't have gotten back up after laying in the snow.. I would have slipped and slid all over the place.. Our snow was so very pretty but it got warm enough for it to melt and start falling off the trees, and it did lose some of its beauty quickly.. I also saw quite few snowmen in the neighborhood.. It was nice and since we don't get much snow here in Knoxville, I enjoy it when we do..

First of all I used to play in a band called the Cat's Meow.
I play in the snow all the time.
Why even in the summer you will find me playing in a blizzard somewhere in the city.
Skiing is my most enjoyable sport and now I am getting into snow boarding and ice skating which I hated as a youth playing hockey.
I like the cross country myself although a lot of my friends are into downhill.
I made an igloo every year and spent a lot of time in there too.
And we always had lots of snowball fights.
Now I eat the snowballs at the cup of bean.
Crocket.
