As most of you know today is Groundhog Day. The top groundhog Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning which means six more weeks of winter. I am glad. I do not like spring too much. The weather is always real bad here in the spring time. We have lots of storms and tornadoes and things. I am happy with six more weeks of winter. What about you? Would you prefer winter to last for 6 more weeks or an early spring?

I am so sick of winter! I really want spring to get here so summer will be just around the corner. Living in Western NY, we have been hit with so much snow it isn't even funny! IN the spring we get the rain and the mud which I really hate to deal with too, but at least we can drive and not have to worry about getting stuck in the snow.

I would like to have winter last longer. Our winters aren't that long and I do better physically in cooler weather than warm weather. Plus, like you, spring brings tornadoes to town, and I'm really not that interested in 'seeking shelter, preferably below groud.'

My first reaction is "OH NO". But logically I know that we need to go thru all the seasons. I do enjoy spring more that winter. I just stay so cold in the winter and get sores on my fingers from the cold. And I live in the south, so you know our winters are really not so cold as other areas of the U.S. Yes we have tornadoes too, last year the worst one was in February and we have had them in Dec. too. In Arkansas I'm not sure the season really matters for tornadoes. For me I like spring and the warmer weather would help the people still without power after last weeks winter storm.
