whats the deal?

so on saturday, there was a new guy that started work at my job. As i was finishing at 11, he was starting as night porter. He is from south africa and kinda cute (if a bit short) he was askin if i liked to party, where was good to go out..allfriendly enough..then he asked if i smoked or did drugs..i said no...then joked 'is this my interview?' he said 'yes it is', not missing a beat..i was not loking at him as was doing end of shift stuff so had my head down so dont know what his face was like at that time. he told me he was living in the hotel accomdation and didnt know anyone here as he had just got here. Anyways, he gave me his number and said to call him if i was going out. He called me the next day at work and left me a msg with his cell phone and when i called him back he said he had wanted me to come over and hang out but then realised he had to work. He asked me where i was and i told him i was already in bed and was jus returnin his call as i knew he was at work and prolly bored. I got the impression that he was hinting for me to goto the hotel and hang out. He asked what i was doing the next day (today) and i told him i was going shopping for new stuff for my new apt. he wanted to come along sying either that or nothing. told me to call him at 1300 the next day (today) and we could meet up. He has no credit on his cell phone but found a site online where u can send texts saying thatnkyou for the phone call lookin g forward to tomorrow. So i called him and woke him up and he said 'i am reallykeen to do something later but didnt realise i would be so tired' can u call me at 5 and you can come here and we can go from there. What you wanna do?' i suggested a movie...he seemed real keen...then sugested a drink after it.. so.....what u guys think? a lonley guy looking for a friend or u think he is hittin on me?
