If I'm outside my house on the porch, or the front walk, my cat will stare outside the window and scratch furiously on it. When I open the door, she just walks away, and doesn't seem to want to come outside. She's 8 and this is a fairly new habit for her. At first it was cute, but now it's getting a tad but annoying. I can never go outside in peace without her bugging me.

LOL. My cat does the same thing lol. He will do it to all doors if we close the door and he is not in the same room with us. I like you used to think it was cute 2 years ago when it started but not any more. The still funny part is that if I am in my bathrooms he sticks his paws under the doors trying to get in, but the min I open the door for him to come in he takes off running like its some kind of joke with him. I don't know what his deal is lol.

Yep, mine too. He comes into the bathroom while I'm having a pee and wants to be petted. Then, the funniest is, when I'm in the tub, he wants me to 'wash' him. He gets right up on and walks along the edge of the tub begging me to do it. So I oblige and get him good and wet and ruffle up his tail, then he usually sits on the bathmat and has 'his' bath, while I have mine. If there is anybody home when I get him wet, I tell them to call him, so he can show them the funny mess I have made of his fur before he fixes it. Cat's are a hoot, aren't they?

Yep, my cats do this as well....usually they run away as soon as I open the door, like they didn't know it was so cold out :P

My cat is like that. He just can't stand that he can't get to me when he wants to. I can't even go pee or take a bath without leaving the door ajar so he can come in and see what he is missing. lol You just moved, so she is likely worried that you will leave her. Separation anxiety. You just need to reassure her and give her a bit more attention.

Cats are funny. I think they get to thinking they they run the house and how dare you not be accessible to them. Not that they really want you, or even want to be near you, they just want you to be where they can get to you, just in case they should change their mind and want some attention. Maybe I'm overthinking this a bit, lol.

By the way the name of my cat is muning and i really love my pet in the morning when i wake up, i always see my cat scratch. It always in the front and in back of the door. . . I also wondering why may cat always do that and in the other day when i saw it again. I just go to my mother and ask her why does our cat always scratching our doors in the morning. Then my mother told me the answer. The answer why the cat always scratching our fron door is he always make a stretch to start his day fine, good, and okey. . . Meaning like as,cat also need a excercise in order for him to fine and gives it endurance and to make the blood circulation and pump of the heart good and really nice for the whole day. . .well that's topic entitled "why does she scratch at the door". I hope i give a very helpful response to your forum topic. . . Well that's all my response. . . Happy posting and earning to all my co-members. . . Godbless you always and have a nice day. . .
