Bad weather

It's snowing that badly at the moment that we were let out of work early to get home. Everyone leaving my workplace was sliding around the road leaving the sight and it was slow going getting home. I have obviously made it back ok, but its quite a new experience for me. I'm from Brisbane, Australia and our typical bad weather is torrential rain or extreme heat.
I was wondering what other peoples experience with weather is around the world?

I am living in Dublin, Ireland and we are experiencing the very same weather. I woke up this morning to a sheet of snow. I am finished work in about 10minutes and I am dreading the drive home. I hate driving in rain let alone snow ans icy roads.
I went out to post letters about 15minutes ago and there was a snow storm. It is so cold. I cannot remember the last time we had weather this bad. I dont think it was ever in my lifetime. ( I am 25yrs old)
Fingers crossed I get home ok.

Thanks made it home ok but I have never seen cars drive so slow before. Snow seems to have stopped but it is freezing outside.
