Yesterday was a beautiful Minnesota day....for winter that is. One of my co-workers and her husband have built a log cabin in a grove of trees a half mile from their house. A couple of us were invited yesterday to go for sleigh rides and to spend some time in their cabin. It was so much fun! I don't get alot of opportunity to hang out with my coworkers but once in a while we do something fun! So do you hang out with your co-workers?

Thats so cool. I never spend time with my coworkers. I just dont have anything in common with them. I just cant see my self spending my free time with people I work with 5 days a week.

When I worked I seldom hung out with co-workers as I felt the same way as you do. They were co-workers and not friends actually. A couple of them were friends but not close enough to hang out a lot. Once a month maybe is it.

Being my fathers caregiver, the only coworker I have is my wife. And we hang out all the time. I have yet to go on a sleigh ride actually in all my years in winter climates. Sounds like fun. Any photos at all of this event?

Once a month my co workers and I get together in the meeting room at work and watch a Bollywood movie. We all bring food and have dinner and a movie. It is fun.

That cabin sounds neat! And sleigh rides, too? That sounds like a good time. I really don't hardly ever hang out with my co-workers. Every year there's a Christmas party and I go to that unless it's held during the time that we go up north. And one of the nurse practitioners had a crystal party at her house a few years ago, so I went to that.
Years ago, I made very good friends with several of my co-workers, and we hung out together every week. It was great.

There are times when I hang out with my co-workers. We would go to malls, movies and lunch outs. My company is just starting (but is stable) and most of the employees are young. That is why we can relate to each other and jive with everything we do inside and outside the office. There also was a time when we went hiking. It was planned and sponsored by my company. We enjoyed the weekend with each other without thinking of our current project even for a day.

Sounds like you had a good time yesterday. Did you jump hills on your sled or fly off any ramps? lol
Yes I sure do. Am good friends with two of them and we do things together. Primarily lunch or dinner. We also talk on a regular basis. Since one lives so far away, we don't get together much in the winter or when the streets are bad. Another co-worker lives about a mile from me but he is always traveling to see his kids out of state. When he's in town several of us meet for coffee in the mornings.

Hi jillhill,
When I used to work back when I was single, I always do. Almost every after work, we will spend time just hanging around, malling or eating outside or just walking in the Boulevard! I love and miss it!
ENjoy!

Yes, three of my co-workers plus me go for coffee every 2-3 weeks. It's fun and we just yak and yak, lol! We all worked at the same store for a while and all have quit since December. Place was horrible to work for so we still have quite a bit to talk about.
