I can only cook a few things. I wish I could cook better since it seems like I'm constantly repeating the receipes I do know. I'm just not that much of a cook.

I am a decent cook too. I learned through practice. For some time after marriage I was at a loss to cook properly. So I would suggest young people whether boys or girls learn a bit at home before going out to study, or to live by own.
I have a relative, who was an excellent cook, so when overseas studying in the US, he never paid for living, eating, riding, just by his cooking for his roommates. A good deal, isn't it?

I think I am a pretty good cook but I wouldn't say great lol. Like tonight I made some yummy ginger chicken over rice with vegetables. I ended up pouring way to much pepper into the rice. So not a great cook but a good cook.

I think I am also a decent cook. The most important is the dish and cooks that I have made are welcoming. And my friends, especially my sisters encourage me to do better, and they often give me their advice about how to make the smell tasty and delicious! Now I am selecting some good ways to make a dish called "Su SanXian" on the net. I expect it will be a great one! LOL---

Since getting married this past January, I been cooking a lot more meals. I haven't had any complaints about my cooking from my husband except maybe if I put too little or too much seasoning on food lol. But I would like to get to the point where I can cook for more than two people.

I had the opposite problem, I always cooked to much and at first my hubby felt bad if he left any for left overs.. growing up my mom always cooked bigger food so that we had it all week.
good luck with your cooking and you will get to make smaller meals soon.. it just happens. happy mylotting.

I am by all means the "best" cook in my family, but most would rather eat at my house than anyone else's. My mother is the best out of my side of the family, but as she's aging she doesn't cook that much for family gatherings. My sister does, and everyone always has something bad to say about her cooking. When it comes to family gatherings on my husband side of the family. I/we always host and cook because very few can boil water. Sad to say, lol.
I enjoy cooking for my family most of the time, though there are times, I don't because it's a hassle. I have never gotten a bad review over my cooking, so that must mean something, though I wouldn't care too much, because I know that everyone has their own tastes, and what tastes good to me, may not to them!
