I recently have started working as a freelance writer but am really in need of good websites that are legitimate. I have come across some where you have to bid in order to apply for work which I find kind of stupid, I hve tried Helium but I think that is more of a long term thing. Anyone???? Your suggestions are much appreciated thanks.

Hi amreen_b,
I usually scour the following sites for writing jobs:
- FreelanceWritingGigs.com
- Craigslist.com
- AllFreelanceWritingJobs.com
- jobs.problogger.com
- bloggerjobs.biz
Good luck.

I joined Triond just over a week ago. I have earned 24cents so far, but some people on there are are earning a lot more. The work you put on there can't have been published anywhere else, but once it's been published on there you can put it on other sites as you retain the copyright. The amount you get paid is worked out from the number of people who view your work. I know I've only earnt pennies, but it's been worth it to make friends and pick up tips from other writers.
