I had a Strange thing happen to me,

This Happened about 30 years ago, and i never understood it. maybe some one can help or explain it. A friend had picked me up at work. It was in the morning I had worked the night shift. We stopped at a red light and in the road ahead of us was this woman running toward us. At first i was concerned that she was in trouble, but as she got closer to us i was filled with a fear, i was so scared i could not move or even talk. As she got to the car she came for my side as she grabbed the door handle. my friend took off because the light changed. The woman fell, rolled and then disapered. I mean she was gone. My friend did not see her, none of the other cars seemed to see her either. I was the only one. I have never been that afraid again in my life. It seemed real, but it was not. I get goose bumps just thinking about it. Any ideas about what happened to me.
