There are a few like that....that just make you cry. Sometimes when I am down in the dumps though and want to cry but can't I just put on a sad song and let her rip....by the time I am done crying I feel much better!

Hello vanities, I have a few favorite songs that are very memorable to me. But alas, I won't cry when I listen to them once a while It just makes me remember those good old days and I do feel sad when I hear those nice lyrics.

I hear many songs frequently that remind of a particular event, relationship, or myself. I don't break down and get to the point of switching it. Instead I reflect so much during the song, that it's over before I know it. Certain songs certainly have a severe emotional impact on people.

don't worry my friend, i also experience that. i am not aware that it is part of our pre menopausal symptoms...hehehe but i am one emotional and sensitive person. it may be a song,or even a movie that can really get into me and make me cry. just last week i watched Benjamin Button with my 2 girls, and it made me cry so hard. i was so touched by the movie.

Hey vanities! Yup! I can hear a sad song and it will set off some kind of sad memories. I used to listen to the radio alot more than I do now. I love to listen to music especially when I'm doing work around the house. It usually puts me in a better mood. But, there are times when a song does affect me and makes me cry. Music can make us feel a whole range of emotions!

Ofcourse it happens to everyone. All of us has emotions and music is one thing that triggers it. The other day, i heard the song "the man who can't be moved". Gosh, it's so sad. I wondered if that really happened. i mean like there's someone who really waited on the corner where they first met? Wow..and it made me wish for a moment that there's a guy who can't be moved waiting for me...and i'll know where i'll find him...

"Take Me Out of The Dark" and "We are The Reason" by our local artist Gary V. here in the Philippines are the songs which really made me cry... ^_^ they're christian songs though... Especially those times when I felt like I made a lot of mistakes and I haven't thanked Him enough for all the blessings He bestowed onto me.. Hehe

"Some Day" by Nickelback made me fall apart the first time I heard it: the morning after a break up!! Another song that just makes me cry every time is "Old Lang Syne" by Dan Fogleburg. The lyrics are wonderful yet absolutely depressing and we can all pretty much relate to them. If you haven't heard it, it's worth a listen, it's a very beautiful song, just make sure to grab the tissues!

Don't Cry Joni by Conway Twitty. I know, this is a very old song but everytime I hear this, it really makes me sad. This is one of the songs that my mom used to play for me when I was young especially when I couldn't sleep. During that time, I didn't know the meaning of the song. This is actually a song that tells a story about a teenage girl who fell in love with a guy who's older than her. The guy had to leave his hometown which made the girl so sad. Much worse, the guy didn't take the girl seriously so before leaving, he told her these words: "Joni, Joni please don't cry. You'll forget me by and by." which made her teardrops fell like rain that day. After few years, the guy went back and realized that he still loved Joni. Too bad, Joni was already married to the guy's best friend. These were Joni's words: "Jimmy, Jimmy please don't cry. You'll forget me by and by. It's been five years since you've been gone. Jimmy, I married your best friend John." It's so sad, isn't it?

hello vanities i hear ya about some music that is sad like that. and to answer your question one of the saddest songs that i have ever heard is "Just A Dream" by Carrie Underwood. also that country song by Martina McBride called "Concrete Angel" will make tears come to my eyes. and the music video of it as well, i cannot watch the music video without tears coming to my eyes. so no, your not the only one that has that problem in listening to a sad song. take care and have a beautiful evening.

I have! The song was How to Save a Life by The Fray. It reminded me of many things of the past and sometimes present. The song reminds me of the friend (didnt die, but very depressed) so I always think about that person when I hear the song. Same goes for Hey There Delilah.
