Intervention - Drug Abuse.

I was just watching Intervention and it got me thinking about drug abuse. Do you know someone who has a drug problem and how did you handle it? Did you ever have a problem with alcohol or drugs? I had a best friend, her and I were inseperable. We told each other everything. She started doing coke, and I told her if she continue, I didn't want to be her friend anymore. She promised me she stopped, so we got an apartment together. And we'd have parties every weekend. She started going to the city every weekend after a while with our other best friend who was older and of age(my friend who did coke had a fake i.d.) Eventually our other best friend got into coke, and they pretty much treated me like crap since I didn't want to do it. I ended up making new friends, although we still lived together, I hardly spent time with her. I started seeing this new guy, and she was getting angry saying I was ditching her, and was never around. I was always there, but she was always gone. I finally had enough when one night, she did some E with our neighbour, I was sitting on the computer and she went into the bathroom and I could hear her puking. So I put my headphones on, turned the music up loud, and tuned her out. 3 weeks later I moved out, and our friendship was ruined. We tried a couple times to be best friends again, but it was never the same. Now she lives in the city, and I see her once a year for 5 or 10 minutes. And she's usually all coked out. It's horrible, because I was the one person she was friends with who tried helping her, and she threw it all away for drugs.
