I'm a big musician (I play drums in 2 bands, and guitar in another) and I'm a junior in high school, so I'm going to college pretty soon. I want to become a musician, producer, and hopefully own a record label in the future. What major should I look into?

depending on what your college offers you could major in music or business or something like that. getting a major in business would help you with running that record label, and a major in music would extend your music knowledge. it all depends on what type of things are offered where you live

When I applied for schools I looked for majors like MUSIC INDUSTRY or MUSIC BUSINESS. Sadly a lot of schools don't offer it though, it's kind of hard to find a right match between that major and some place you actually want to go or can even get into. Some big schools that I know that have it are USC and Syracuse. There are some really good music speciality colleges too, one of the most popular is Berklee, I think they're in Boston. They do things ALL (instruments, vocals, producing) things music and they have an amazing reputation. My friend left CA to go to Nashville for a school with a music business major and she loves it there.
Best of luck deciding where to go! It's so tough and stressful. I almost went into music business, but last minute decided not to and I definitely half regret it now. Oops.
