I've always been way better at language than I have at math. I'm terrible with numbers, and have a hard time remembering them. I'm 41 years old and to this day, I can't recall my own social security number when prompted! I have a very basic understanding of math, but anything too advanced will stop me in my tracks. I can't do any fractions, and I'm lucky I can remember half of my times tables. When my daughter got past the 6th grade, I was unable to help her with her math homework. Not being able to do complicated math hasn't really effected me in my daily life- rarely do I come across an instance where I would have to use even half of what they were attempting to teach us in school.

Totally on the language side! I am okay at math, but I have studied Latin for 5 years now and I love it. I only wish I could do something with it except teach! So, I guess I am learning it just to learn it and to hopefully go traipse around Rome and be able to read all the ancient signs and stuff. (My group last time didn't really stop to look. It was go, go , go!) I have noticed that knowing Latin helps in other languages (Including English according to my grammar class). I am working at Italian a little bit and its not too bad. Math....I think I will just pass!

Maths is very tough for me, yet its really challenging. I hope I can learn some maths to practice my logical thinking. Its said that people who are good at maths are more intelligent.

I love math. It challenges my brain. But of course, you have to spend time understanding the concept and the procedures to arrive at the right solution. And, one plus one will always be equal to two. Unlike language, "was" for yesterday and "is or are" for today. But we have to admit that language is as important as math. So to my fellow myLotters, let us all be good in math and language!

They are both very important in our real life. Maths is used widely in our daily life.It can make your life easier if you are good at maths. Languages help you communicate better with the world. It broaden your view and enrich your life.

well, i love maths because it challenges my brain and sets my mind thinking. But doing too much maths does make me frustrated sometimes, especially when i cant seem to solve the problem. Language, on the otherhand, is much more flexible. I enjoy language as well because learning language is somewhat similar to learning to communicate. I find language really fun and language can get challenging too. Well, it is hard to choose.

I love math more than language although I didn't get a good mark in my high school. Now, in my university, math is one of my favorite subject. It's interesting and make my head fresh. I like to solve some problems in the text book and discuss it with my friends some difficulties. We try to solve the problem, and if I get some satisfaction :D. The things goes well in my university and I good mark here.
