Penumbral eclipse of the Moon this February 9!

According to a news from Philstar datet February 3, 2009, a penumbral eclipse of the Moon will occur on February said Pagasa. This is the second of the six eclipse events this year. The state weather agency stated that the lunar surface is not completely shadowed by the Earth's umbra (darkest part of a shadow). Instead, observers see only the slightest dimming near the lunar limb closest to the umbra. The eclipse mat be undetectable unless at least half of the moon enters the penumbra.
