I'm new to Mylot, and am confused about the 'best response' thing. I'm guessing that after starting a discussion you read people's comments and then decide which one you think is best. But when do you decide - do you leave it a day, week or what? If you click on a response after a day there might be a better response the next day.

I always choose the best response for the people who respond my discussion. I always wait until 3 or 4 days. That's the standard time for me to wait until no people respond again my discussion. Then I read and give a comment back.
Give them a positive rate and select the best response.
Keep post
Happy myLotting...

It depends on your time, on how long you stay in computer. In my case, when i decided for the best response i noted i straigth away. Sometimes when i got lots of responses, and i never finish reading those comments i leave it for a day and then mark a best response.

Here comes your discretion to the fore.If you are satisfied no further answers will come, then declare. There is no hard and fast rule in this regard

I will pick best response not on time basis upon the content basis. I will pick the response which I like and which suits well for the discussion. If the response is the first one or the last one is not a matter to me. At times I have not picked best response to my discussions because there was nothing...

I'd say a week at least unless you continually get many responses. Then maybe a month. It would really depend on the active responses.
