Being a Scot, I find it difficult when the England-Scotland thing happens. Here we are one big United Kingdom, with our free NHS (national health service), schooling, benefits system etc etc, but there are people in Scotland who wish to divide use into a seperate country - why?
If this happens will we still have an NHS, will we have a benefits system (not that this is always a good thing, but that's another discussion!) will there be a passport required to travel between England and Scotland. Can someone please tell me the good benefits of this?? and why some are so keen to make Scotland completely seperate? It worries me that it could all fall foul for the fellow Scotsman.

Hi young lady,
I am an exiled Scot living in Germany. To me it makes no sense to separate from the rest of the UK. Is the existing Scottish parliament not a total farce and a colossal waste of money? My friends still living in Scotland all think so.
I just wish more Scots would fight against the ever growing worldwide tendency to include us as part of England. Now that annoys me! I see no reason to separate but please let us keep our identity. On this site the Union Jack is used as an English flag. I have complained to Mylot but so far, as expected, no answer. They have so many restrictions on stupid things but will not correct what I think is a very offensive gesture to the Scots and Irish.
I wanted to load a picture entitled Fighting Coks but was told the second word, correctly spelt, violated the terms of use. This is censorship gone crazy.
Any chance of you also asking them to use a St George's Cross for England and not the Union Jack?. I would appreciate your support and that of any other Scottish and Northern Irish members. Thank you.

I dont think that Scotland will become Independant because being part of the UK and EU. Breaking out of either will cause problems such as NHS and other Services will have to split, meaning Scotland would have to form their own services. This would be pretty hard a times like this. In the long term effect Scotland may become stronger and a more powerful Country but being part of the UK means reasources found in Scotland will be shared.
I may be wrong im just saying what i think happens.
Oh and Hiya! Im Scottish aswell, =)
