After four long years of stress, interviews, waiting, and visits to the lawyers office my husband finally got his green card a couple of weeks ago. It is such a stressful situation that I never really understood until I found myself in it. I am so glad it is over. One less thing we have to worry about!

I didn't know your husband needed a green card. And I certainly didn't know it would take that long! It isn't like what we see on television at all, huh. Which is not a surprise since very little in real life mimics what we see on television. Congratualtions to you and him!

We my husband is form India and when we met he was here on a visa but it expired a while after we got married. So we have been working on the Green card ever since. lol. You are right about that. I wish life was as easy as it seems on tv sometimes.

Why did it take so long? If he was making an honest effort to get one it shouldn't have taken four years!!! But it's good it's all behind you now....and the stress level is down! Good for you!

I am not sure why it took so long. It seemed like people that applied after him was getting their cards and we were still waiting. I am just so glad that it is over.
