Have you found yourself skipping breakfast - to indulge your appetite into what is now called brunch? Many Americans have become overwhelmed in their everyday life, and presume that breakfast does not mean as much as it used to. How many times during the week do you skip breakfast and have lunch without thinking about the consequences it bears on your overall health?

Difference in the timings between two meals should be not more than 12 hours.Or else it can lead to acidity. And breakfast means to break the 'fasting' which the body is undergoing from the previous night.I have never skipped the breakfast.Atleast a banana to break the fast and a cup of milk. This way atleast I get my carbs and proteins to kick start the day.But this is only on the days i feel lazy .Other days we have a heavy breakfast.

This is great information for anyone that was not aware of the history of this meal-time favorite. Thanks for leaving the comment.

Quite often, I forget to eat a good breakfast. So, once I'm so hungry I feel like I'm going to pass out, I'll eat a late breakfast. That's usually followed by a light lunch a couple of hours later. I have no idea what this routine is doing for my health, so I'm trying to fix it before anything bad happens.

I and my husband only eats breakfast when we feel hungry and that is usually 10am. Thing is we love sleeping and he is a night person and I am a person who also prefers eating late in the morning. I know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day but nowadays that most people are busy and they only want to eat on the most available time, then I think having "brunch" is no longer a big deal. Well it is just a matter of eating the right food and not letting yourself get hungry so much before eating where you can stick to being healthy. For me those are more important than following the normal trend of eating breakfast on time.

Sometimes I only have coffee and have brunch later. Because coffee is good enough to make me full.
