he is over weight..what do i do?

Hi mylotters,
what do u do if your dog is overweight. Though you take him for his walks and restrict him from eating too much. Dog lovers any suggestions please thanks.

i am not a dog lovers but i can sudgest the dog needs diet and give the dog a veges for a change

Let him undergo a diet... do not feed your dog too much and avoid fatty foods.

Exercise would be good. Also, I think that there are dog foods that help with weight control.

Diet and exercise are really what works best. Our last dog had weight issues. He'd get a little to round in the middle especially in the winter. So it started with, no snacks for fido. No regular people food. Ask your vet to recommend a lower calorie dog food and get that puppy movin'. Really, being heavy is tough on your dog. Getting him fit and trim will help him feel better. But, ask your vet for some recommendations.
