nope I never regretted it I know exactly what I want and I never make decisions until I do know what I want and I know I will not regret my decisions.

Thank you winterose for your sincere answer. You are a woman that knows what she wants and it seems that you probably think through a lot of things clearly before making any kind of decision.

I'll be interested in the response you get here. I'm about to turn 29 with 2 kids which have a 10 year age gap. I am considering the procedure at the moment as I don't want to have anymore but do wonder if I will regret limiting my options at a later date .

do u have a boy and a girl? if so, then what else is there? i have a boy and a girl, and I'm happy with them both. but I'm 22 and maybe I dont knwo down the line I could want more,so i didn't get my tubes tied. If you have the smallest doubt that you might want childern, then dont do it. get a iuc or an iud.

2 girls, Didn't plan on the second one and had to return to a highly demanding career as I couldn't afford to go part time and have too much invested (financially) to just give it up.
I wouldn't give either of them up for anything in the world, but I know how I felt when I found out I was pregnant the second time. My husband would love more children and I think that is what is giving me the doubt.

Thank you for your response. I guess that there are different women that have mixed feelings about this subject. I do not judge anyone when I ask a question like this. I just like to get the various view points.

Unfortunately these operations are much bigger surgeries than the original tubal ligation procedure and typically are not covered by insurance. Depending on technical aspects of the tubal ligation, successful reversal runs around 50%. Meaning you may or may not wind up able to conceive again.
Unfortunately the small group of women who do regret their decisions make it hard for the rest of women to get a tubal, especially if they don't have kids. A co-worker of mine got the Essure thing done not too long ago and had to jump through rings of fire for almost 5 months before her doctor did it.

The procedure can be undone sometimes, depending on what was done. And no, is the answer to your question. Its a hard to decision to make to go to that step...i mean if i had like 12 kids yeah, i'd do it and never regert it, but I wouldnt do it. I wonder if the lady who had octuplets got her tubes tied?
