I ask because we were recently told by our school and doctor that our son may need sleeping meds to help hime sleep at night? He is only 10 and my wife is not thrilled about the idea?
What do you think?
Would you put your child on sleeping meds or any kind of that sort?

It would depend on the situation? If it was a last resort I would do it but only for a short period of time. No way I would put them on meds long term?

You dont really give much info so its hard to answer for me it would depend if my child could not sleep without them well yes i probably would because I would need them to have a good nights sleep its important for their health of course its when they do all their growing, if it was a case of he was restless say or wakes early then no i would be looking at ways to combat this.
Meds are sometimes given too freely however each case is different and if all other possibilitys have been examined and didnt work well then yes I would use meds if my child could not function properly without them.
