Why are people so afraid of death???

I dont care about death ,to me its not important as i believe that none of us can control what happns ,so i just go out and try and live my life to the full ,but why are people so afraid of death??

one of the reasons why people are afraid to die is because they did not want to leave their family and love ones behind them. another is they are not sure of what will happen when they die. as simple as that.

There are only a few things that I wish, before I die. MY family is ok financially, and I am right with God. I don't ask for anything else
