Everybody has his/her own name but often we have been called differently. Personally I have been called in 3-4 different ways. My real name is Linda and any of the variations doesn't seem to be similar to my real name.
My mum calls me "Incis", dunno why but it sounds so cute and sweet (it's latvian language, in english these names might sound strange).
For my brother and few of my friends I am "sika" which means "little".
My boyfriends calls me (the same as him) - bubba!
Do you have any?

My name is Rechie Ruth. My mom said that she named me after the name of a junk food which was "Rechie". It was her favorite food to munch when she was conceiving me. She got the name Ruth from her bestfriend's name and she combined it together.
Here are the names that my family and friends call me:
Chuchies --- it is my mom and dad's nickname to me
Parrot --- my elementary classmates used to call me "parrot" not because i am talkative like a parrot but it is because of the "Ruth" in my name. Even when i meet my elementary classmates this time, they are still calling me that name.
Ate Chie --- that's how my siblings call me. Here in the Phils. "Ate" is usually used before the name of an elder person as a sign of respect. So, since i am the eldest sister they call me "Ate Chie"
Chie2x --- my highschool friends call me this name.
Chu ---Now in college, when i am inside the classroom i am CHU. that't how my college classmates call me except my teacher who call me "REchie"
RECHIE RUTH --- i only hear this name when my parent are mad at me.

in my country, the more the name stinks, the more endearing it is to them. so they call you names that are real stinkers. but even if i post them, you won't realize how much they stink, because it's only funny in our language (sigh... lost in translation :/ )
it's funny, but if someone here calls you a name that sucks (like, um, BorBor?), then it means they like you.
as to what my boyfriend calls me... the name has evolved more than any other animal on earth! hehe. it changes little by little, till the whole word has changed, and sometimes he makes it sound french, then suddenly russian. again, i can't even share the name, coz its meaning will be lost in translation... there's no english word for it.

My boyfriend calls me baby or kitten, and everyone else pretty much just calls me Jenn. I like "sika" from your brother that's cute and Incis from your mom. It's nice that there are special names for you from your family.

Hi lindery/. My first name is Francisca. I used to hate my name when I was young because my classmates always teased me by calling me "iska." I remember that I even asked my mom and dad why they gave me that name. When I reached my 3rd year in the university, i came to like my name.
Anyway, my mom told me that she was at her friend's house when i was about to be delivered. At that time, my mother's friend named "Francisca" and their priest named "Francisco" were there. They made a decision that if my mother's baby is a girl, they would name her "Francisca;" if boy, "Francisco." Thus, that's the history of may name.:)
