Do you feel good when someone pays you a compliment?

Yes we all do feel good when we get a compliment that has been proven time over time over the years.

Yes I do, it makes me feel good to know that I can do something right. I used to get a lot of compliments now I very seldom do because I an not around people much. I am mostly at home alone. I do try to give others compliments too. It makes me happy to see them happy and doing good.

Since I do not hear them too much anymore It makes me feel real good when someone does give me one . I love giving other compliments and love to see them smile.

Oh, I love a good compliment from people I admire. But you are right, if it is not sincere, please don't waste your breathe giving it. To give you a sincere compliment, my friend... I smiled when I saw a discussion from you this morning because I feel like I haven't seen you around lately. (I have been sporadic in my visits too) You write such easy to respond to discussions and I just enjoy seeing your cute little penguin popping up on the recent discussion board.

Sincere compliments are nice, but those ones that you just know someone does not mean I can do without. I don't know why people even bother trying to compliment you when they don't mean it.

Hi there Beauty queen. I do feel good when i receive a sincere compliment as long as it comes from the heart as i know that the person giving it to me, really beliefs that. It is always good in this cases to respond to the person who is giving you the compliment with at least a smile, as a smile attracts another smile and smiling makes people happier and that's what we need these days.

I like compliments from people who I feel genuine and are not always praising others. I mean I like sincere compliments sometimes compliments are so blunt they can even annoy you.

Of course! Who doesn't love compliments? As long as it's honest and nice, then I have no problem about it! But sometimes I do think that we seldom give compliments to each other *laughs*.

I'm not good with compliments. I always feel sure that people cant be sincere if they are saying something nice about me so i feel a bit awkward. Love your little penguin BTW

Yes. For me it is just like a commendation. I worked as a customer service agent. And I really feel good when someone has commended me. It is very similar to compliments. I can still remember what the client told my supervisor about me. here it is: " He is an asset of the company. I hope you have a lot of him".[i][/i] Having this statement from our customers is really fulfilling. It only means to say that I was able to serve her in a manner that there is a satisfaction within her. It really feel good. Of course I feel good when someone gives me a compliment but like what you have said I only feel good when the compliment is sincere. I prefer giving compliment to boost the confidence and to inspire people but I only give them to those who deserve it. When it comes to compliment, I like receiving them from my husband because I feel more loved by him.

I like complimets too,but only if they are sincere and genuine,some one are just good at praise the others but it's so fake that it will not makes me really happy at all,I like that the priase are the true thoughts of the people

yes,, when compliment has given for any task that is done by me sincerly. i don't like the complement without any reason..

Sometimes, whenever I get a sincere compliment, I tend to reply something bad about the thing that they complimented me about. Let's say, they would notice my nice trousers, I would reply that I got it at a very cheap price and not even thank them for their compliment (^_^") I think you call that 'false modesty' I really wish that I could get rid of that habit of mine and just accept compliments that are sincere.. After all, I really do feel good when other people would take notice of what I have and compliment me about it.. (^_^ )

Hello beautyqueen26, Of course I feel extremely happy if I get a compliment! That will really make my day. I think if I get one, I will smiling throughout the day, just thinking of the compliment that I just received!

I do not really take it to head, but always consider what people say. Be it criticism or compliments. Most people always try to give you the wrong impression for you work. But there are some people who give you the right feedback. So I prefer to ask them and even if I get some wrong feedback, prefer to just ignore it and get along. Sometimes I have a hard time deciphering which are the real ones, and which ones are the ones that are just plain cheesy. Most of the time I feel good about them, but when it comes from like, someone online, I shake it off. People online can sometimes be jerks.
