I have shared here in mylot that I have stopped using my credit cards and have started to pay them off. I have made a decision to fix my finances. One way would be to stop using credit cards and racking up debts. So now, I am happy to say that I have fully paid two of them and three more to go. I am teling myself that it is good that I only have five cards. What would have happened to me if I own more than that. Whew! These credit card companies just keep on sending you cards that you don't even ask for. It is good that I didn't say yes to all of those or else, I would have had more than twenty by now. LOL. Anyway, I'm on track and I plan to get rid of the three credit card debts by Spring.

Congrats!! Keep up the good work and don't stop now. I made the decision to stop using credit cards 10 years ago. Back then I was depressed and unhappy because of my credit card debt but then I made the decision to stop. It took a long time and now I do have 2 credit cards but I make sure I pay off the balance every month. I keep all my receipts and track all spending. I also budget for any major purchases. I think that credit cards are not the problem but we just have to learn as a society how to use them properly.

That is so wonderful! It takes a lot of discipline in order to fix that kind of "mess". It's encouraging to hear people making the most out of their earnings - since I still see people around me abusing their credit cards and I just know that they'd end up badly in a few years if they don't stop. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Hi Bubbly, I'm trying to get rid of mines but it's so hard!! I paid all of it last month and I was going to cancel it, but then my eletric hand beater broke and I had to buy a new one because I'm running a home business with cupcakes, and I couldn't go without it, so I used my credit card now I owe them again. I can't wait to get rid of it, I don't want to be in debt anymore.

That's how the cycle goes. I cannot tell you that you shouldn't have done that because it is an emergency. Something that you didn't expect to happen but then, that means you owe something again.
