i want yo buy a brand new computer, but confuse which one should i buy. I have a dream to have core 2 duo but right now there is a core 2 quad :( and if i buy core 2 duo processor, i want to buy the highest clock speed; may be E8500 or i should buy core 2 quad Q6600. Which one is better :) I need some advice, thank you

I would say go for the E8500? Below are a couple of links to a few interesting threads: 1) http://club.cdfreaks.com/f7/intel-e8500-vs-q6600-240716/ 2) http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=250732

No problems. It seems that due to shortage of RAM, the prices of DDR2 800 just went up about 1.75X Hope you get your powerhouse up & kicking

If the clock speed is more you can have your computer to work fast but higher clock speed means more power consumption and more heat to release and this will make your computer to shutdown. its up to you which one to choose.
