Try saying that fast...5 times..or even once? And you ask..what the "hay" is that crazy word! It's the FEAR....OF FRIDAY...THE THIRTEENTH...which happens a week today! To a lot of people...it is a very unlucky day! There are people so fearful they do not leave their homes...their beds. Are you going to get out there and prove them wrong? Go ahead...Google it..it's so true, this fear..it's named! And how about you?

Hi pergammano In 2009,we have in February,March and November, friday falling on 13th. This friday,13th fear is not all found in our country. This is found mostly in western countries. So it noway is going to affect my work on that day. I will be as normal as any other day. There is no proof to say that the Friday 13th will bring us bad luck. Happy mylotting

Morning, muru1950....you have done your research, I did not know that there is 3 in 2009...thanks! Furthermore, I did not know it is more likely a Western Comunity affliction...so you have kept me up to speed! No...there is NO proof it will bring back luck....just like there is no proof, there will be a rainbow after every rainstorm. Just thot an interesting topic!

I am so sorry to read that...then maybe this will be just the day that changes your luck....to GOOD LUCK! And I pray for your sake that it will be....and just a few words of inspiration from an Author Unknown; "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass....it's about learning how to dance in the rain!" Hopefully from this day on...sunshine prevails!

hi, nice to see you. no, i am not afflicted with it. i just take it as an ordinary day. it's not because i am not afraid of it but i just try to fight the fear and most often nothing unlucky or unpleasant happens and i am so grateful that i survived it again. good luck to us. have a nice day!

Hey, thanks sweetie...you seem to have understood what I was writing! Not that people should fear Friday the 13th....but THAT there really are people that are affected by their fears of this number! I am NOT one of those, but as you say, I treat it like any other day.....but have known to comment, when something goes awry; "oh well, chalk it up to Friday the 13th." Rainbows to you, m'dear!

I don't believe in that. Bad things happen everyday. The only difference is if it is Friday the 13th people will point it out more and blame it on bad luck, when really, badluck can come any day. I don't know that I'll be doing next Friday, but I can guarantee I won't be staying in the house the whole day! If it's so unlucky you might aswell break your leg while walking in the house and trip. So my opinion is yeah, it's made out of crap. I believe in things like miracles, ghosts, but superstitions like this, rubbish!

Hi pergammano, How did you manage to find that word? I cannot even pronounce it correctly. I dont have any fear of this day. I am not afraid of Friday the 13th. I think it is just superstition.

Thanks for the pencil. the blonde bombshell is adapting well to our family. All of us are in love with her. She is our new baby. I am glad that my son has made a bond with her. She follows him everyhwere.

Yes, it's a tongue twister. But I don't believe in Superstitions. It' not the day that fixes your destiny. It's your work and efforts that fix the destiny. All is in your hands. Not in the Days.

Good morning arlerambabu....my goodness, your name is a bit of a tongue twister, too! LOL! Not making fun of it, so please don't take offense! I totally agree that we are fully in charge of our destiny...as Earl Nightingale wrote; "It's our attitude in life that determines life's attitude toward us." But just being around folks of different walks of life this week, I was amazed how often it was mentioned! Cheers!

In fact, there is no truth to any of anyone's fears about Friday the 13th. I think it is ridiculous that there are people that are actually afraid of it. Completely groundless. And 13 happens to be my lucky number, so, hell yeah, I'll be out and about, doing my regular stuff. In fact, I may just celebrate. I'll certainly be whisting a happy tune all day, that's for sure.

13 is actually a very good number how many people sat at the table of the last supper? how many cards are in each suit in a deck of cards?
