do you? I sometimes try but I always forget. and by the time I remember the discussion is like 7 months old. But then again I'm not trying very hard as I think I should. But anyway do you ever choose a best answer for your replies to your discussions?

I've been trying to do this, but on some of my discussions it's pretty difficult. There are several discussions where there are several really great responses. It's too hard too choose. I have been rating the responses with more regularity though. I figure that's the least I can do when someone writes out a well thought out response.

Yeah I think I should rate peoples responses now also. I haven't been giving people anything except replies to there replies so I am going to try to do more like rate their replies and give them a best response.

I always mark a best response to my discussions. I wait until two weeks after first posting it, and then I mark it. It doesn't add any money to anyone for getting the best response, but it always makes people feel good. I never forget, but I hear a lot of people do. Just seeing the 'mark best response' around the site, it always reminds me.

yeah two weeks is a good time to wait to mark a best response. I think I might try that one day. I always don't look at the 'mark best response' thing. I just always seem to pass it up.

There are some discussions I left with no best answers, but they are for a reason. Sometimes you can have 2 really good answers or more with different angle views of the point. If there are lots of quality posts, then everyone deserves a best response. But since only one person can, then I don't hand then out at all, and just rate all the people positive. :)

sometimes, it really depends on the answers, if I feel that the answer really resolves the issue or answers the discussion properly then that's the time i marked it as the best answer.

I always choose best response in my discussions, although there was only 1 response. Because in my opinion, best response is the best response from available which is in a discussion. At least in a month I will choose best response.
