I sometimes send birthday cards or other cards by snail mail. It is a lot easier and faster to send an e-card, but some of my friends don't have access to the internet and some are not interested in computers, so it wouldn't be possible to send an e-card to them. Sometimes I make my own greeting cards and send them via snail mail even if the person has a computer. Handmade cards are more personal and I enjoy making them. Sometimes I don't manage to send out the birthday cards in time, and then I often end up sending an e-card instead.

Artsy homemade cards are always appreciated. But not too many of us are gifted that way and they do take a long time to make. They sure are special though. And, of course, if your friends don't have access to the internet it would be hard to send an eCard.

No longer I use greeting cards via postal or anything,I sen only eCards to my friends and most of my friends are in orkut I will always send them greetings via scraps...
I feel eCARDS are more interactive than our normal greeting cards, see a santa may not stand up and sing christmas song and wish merry christmas in a normal greeting card....

Very, very true, my friend. For some reason I do get very creative on the eCards. On paper cards . . . not so much. And it seems I write more stuff on eCards also. And yes, Santa can dance on eCards.

Hello gtargirl. I send cards by e-card instead of by mail now, but I used to send cards by mail years ago before the Internet was available and cheap in my place. Take care.

I hate e-card. I only send them as a joke or something. But when it comes to special ocasions I buy the real thing. To me they are much more personal.

But it takes so much work. Just kidding . . . I guess Hallmark has nothing to worry about.

Wow! 4 posts today!!!
I like to send a card. It is more personal.
Which reminds me, I still need to get a card for my Mom!
And sometimes I will send an e-card too.
Normally I will send a snail card (LOL), and give them a call.
Groetjes, tot zo.

tot zo.
Well I got my mothers birthday card.
Just have to remember to send it away on time.
Her birthday is on March 1st. So I still have a couple of days.
That is easier with the e-card. You don't need to go out of the house.
But, okay, I am in the house too much anyway. This way I have to get out.
Groetjes, tot zo!

hello gtargirl
i send cards both ways. i send e-cards to the folks that i know on the computer, and if i know somebody that doesn't have a computer, i will purchase them a card and mail it to them in the mail. this past Christmas season, i think that i only received five Christmas cards through the regular mail. lol put i also received alot more through my e-mail this past year. with postage stamps over forty cents now, then no wonder people use e-cards online these days.
take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

Yeah, those stamps! It's so much cheaper sending cards through email.

I always send snail mail birthday cards, anniversary cards and Valentine cards. I like the personal touch when it comes to these dates. I shy away from sending Christmas cards as so many others have done also. E-cards are good when I only have someone's email address and not their home address.

I think I have more email addresses then home addresses, so eCards are the way to go for me. Of course, I do like receiving cards in the mail.

It's crazy good, isn't it? Fast, simple and very creative. And you can send eCards to so many friends without having to buy stamps or anything.

I sent cards trough mail. At least to the people I care about. It just feels to me that it is more appropriate. I will choose it and take the time to write something by hand that is meaningful to both of us.
I know I could do just the same with an e-card, but somehow, taking the time to do it this way feels more personal.

Hello my friend gtargirl Ji,
Well, i use both ways, as per situation. There are places and relations, where there is no excess with emails, so I have to resort to basic system. may god bless you and have graet time.
