I really hate when this happens! Do you get the same problem?

I hate when I take a nap, I do not wake up until many hours later when it is time for your real bedtime. Tonight I took a nap at 6:30 PM, setting my alarm for 8:00, but instead I did not wake up until 12:15 AM! I took almost a six hour nap, and now I am no longer tired and it is past midnight- I have no idea how I will ever get back to bed, and my internal clock will feel so messed up, especially since I have to wake up at 6:30 AM. Does this ever happen to you, or do you have a perfect sleep schedule? haha

well, when i plan to take a nap, i do so perfectly i can say.. coz actually, i am still wide awake in my surroundings.. it's like that, when you're thinking that you need to get up even for 10min nap, you have to... and that's what happen to me.. the longest nap that i had was about 45min.. and then i have to get back to work.. in my sleeping hours, i take usually 5-6hours... i sleep late at night and it's hard to wake up at 6:15am coz my daughter will go to her school.. so i need to help her.. she's only 5yrs. old.. then after that, i will sit infront of my computer and take my work.. the first one will be for 10min teaching.. and i have 20min break.. this i am using to take a nap.. then teach again for 2hours.. not a single student but 3students in that 2hours.. then work at home, cook lunch, then teach again and same.. take a nap sometimes up to 45min.. and maybe that's why i can stay up late until 2am.. and this is why it's hard to wake up.. mylotting too.. lol^^

I am usually very good when it comes to those things as well, but it seems that when I take a nap and there is no light outside, my body thinks that I should sleep longer, even if I have an alarm to wake me up, it does not work. When there is light outside I can wake up whenever my heart desires. You seem to have great control though, but 45 minutes seems like such a short nap!

I have some problem with sleeping. But it's not like yours. I have a bad habit of going to sleep at late night and I get up very late.
I have tried sometimes to change my habit. I have gone to bed earlier than usual but I was not able to sleep until it's late night.

That is exactly what I usually do, stay up late. But now because I slept so late I have no option but to go to bed later, darn it! hehe

The worst thing that happened to me caused by a long nap (or should I say short sleep) was when I missed to take my scheduled flight for a field work. I was only able to finish a much needed report the night prior to my flight. It was already 2AM when I finished the report and since my flight will be four hours later, I decided to take a two hour sleep. Unfortunately, I overslept for another hour and though I tried to catch up the plane, the plain already left when I reached the airport. Due to that, I have to re-schedule everything even my field meetings. Since then, I'd rather do more stuffs to let time pass by and be in the airport early rather than sleeping and missing an important flight.
