Opinion on the concept of religion

Did man create religion, as a way to answer questions without doubt, or set up a mass of guidelines morals and rules, or even just give man something to give us belief and hope or is it something that actually is real that was given to mankind to shape and build and use as a foundation within this life?

All a religion is .. is a system of beliefs. Whether G-d inspired those beliefs, or Man inspired them, Is up to the believer for knowing. Society, Men, and people on their own form their own values, and morals... Many times people thought it was G-d given values or morals based on their own system of beliefs, or spiritual experiences... I know my own religion Heinzism has formed out of my Beliefs, and Experiences, as well as my spiritual studies. - DNatureofDTrain
