These are some words of wisdom sent to me by a friend which I wanted to share with all of you here. SPENDING If you buy things you dont need, you will soon sell things you need. SAVINGS Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving. HARDWORK All hard work brings profit, but mere talk only leads to poverty LAZINESS A lazy lobster is carried away by the water current. EARNINGS Never depend on a single source of income BORROWINGS The borrower becomes the lender's slave. ACCOUNTING It is no use carrying an umbrella if your shoes are leaking. AUDITING Beware of little expenses, a small leak can sink a large ship. RISK TAKING Never test the depth of the river with both feet. INVESTMENT Never put all your eggs in one basket. I am sure all those who have been practicing these principles remain financially healthy. I am equally confident that those who resolve to start practising these principles will quickly regain their financial health. Let us become wiser and lead a happy, healthy, prosperous and peaceful life!

This is so good! Thanks for sharing these words of wisdom. Right ow I can remember one quote that i want to share with you. One cannot expect to become happy without hardship or effort. Because we challenge ourselves we become strong. To become strong is to become happy. This I find very true. Hope you like it as well. Be the happiest.

I like the risk taking one best, never test the depth of the river with both feet. So many of us ignore that piece of advise. That's why so many are drowning

Hello Mayka....Well I think you have become a wee bit too late in sharing these words of wisdom with every one....Just imagine if you had sent these words of wisdom to the Layman Brother's before they became bankrupt, then this whole global economic crisis could have been averted.......... ok...Jokes apart, these words of wisdom speak for themselves and are great guidelines for financial management....Thanks for sharing,Mayka........

It is just that I did not want any mylotter following their footsteps .....this is just in time to avert that... These are some guidelines that we all know but conveniently forget most of the time. We do need some reminders sometimes.

I think most of the men are the same. So naturally the wives have to nag at them. I have to keep reminding my son too about the same.

These are very smart words. My favorite saying which I kind of live by is from my friend Mary Frances (may she rest in peace): everything in moderation including moderation. I think that's true. People should try to be moderate in the use of things like salt and sugar as well as in my opinion profanity. However, saying you will never do something you know you shouldn't do will just turn you into a liar.

all the words are very good as I think. But in life many times you will find nothing is working for you despite hard word, rather that talking. There are some peopel that are born lucky.

There are good and bad times for all of us. We should be happy when the good times come and work harder when the bad days are there. We cannot expect the best of everything always.

These words really bring wisdom and inspiration. In this new year, we are all hoping to have prosperous endeavors and good opportunities. But it's still up to us how we would deal with our lives. Life is always tricky. It's never predictable. So, let's be very keen and careful with our decisions.

Nice post, I love to read these. We're learning from each other's post. I love most the word of wisdom for savings. "Don't save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving. Just like saying, we have to have budget for everything. Separate first your savings before go shopping. Don't shop first without leaving the money for your savings. Otherwise just a little or nothing would even be left for savings. As, should we have enough money on hand while shopping our tendency is to buy and spend more. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the words which you shared. Lets see we can follow these words and be financially well healthy. But as we think we have to save something and spend the balance it can be possible. when we get the payment for the particular month first thing we have to do is to invest somewhere in the bank so that we wont be in a loss and we can save that much money. Its a good idea so start from this month onwards and see how much we are spending keeping side the expenses.Happy mylotting and have a nice day.
