I will use foil when wrapping up my meat to freeze for later use. Sometimes I do find that my meat will have freezer burn. What do you think would be the best thing to use to wrap steak in when freezing for a later day? What do you use?

Hi moneymommy. I use plastic. I think it is better. May be your steak is burned by freezer because you use foil. The aluminium keep the cold much more. I only use foil to cover the bowl when I make ice cream just because of this. I always use a PVC plastic. Have a nice day.

hi moneymommy! well, we just use clear plastic in order for us to see what is inside without opening the packages because they tend to be messy. and well, i don't notice the freezer burn so i don't mind. hehehe we even just use the thin kind of plastic. oh well, we have steak like once a year, so it is no big deal. we usually have pork and chicken on regular days. take care and God bless you! happy mylotting! :D

I guess I should switch to plastic. At least I would know whats in the package. I usually can tell by the shape of the package.

I used to use ziplok baggies, but now Reynolds I believe has a vacuum sealer that you can buy qurat size and gallon size bags, I use this 80% of the time. Keeps food from getting freezer burn.

What I use is the vacume sealed bags. They help keep the meat and what ever else fresh for up to 6mths. I have found that you can buy the sheets and make them the size that you need.
