Since i got a computer at home that was more than 8 years ago. It had windows ME installed in it. I wasn't satisfied with ME as it always gets stuck. So i installed 98 also in another drive. Later when XP was released i switched to it. When vista was released i didn't even try installing vista to see how it goes after getting to the user comments of it.
I am pretty much satisfied with XP until now. Maybe i will try with windows 7 when the final version is released.

You mean from ME to XP...i think i had it installed at the time when there was a problem in the hard disk. The warranty was there so they replaced the hard disk at that time. Now its a long time since that happened. Later after some months after i started using XP i wanted service pack 2 so i remember i got the XP SP2 cd so i was asked to insert it and upgrade it.
The advantage of upgrading OS rather than installing it fresh is that if you are not comfortable you can uninstall it from the control panel.
