It maybe slow down you computers, every program you load into background process will take your memory. If that meet limit of your memory then it will slow down your computers. Have a nice day.

No. I would be a bit worried if it did! I have enough power for it to cope with.

Sometimes, yes especially when I am playing a ballad, but when I am playing some rock, it goes faster. Yes, I know, I'm a fool. ;)

It depends on which player i use to play the music. For some reason if I use I-Tunes it slows down my computer but if I use windows media my computer is just fine.

Every program that you run takes up memory, but the key is that some are take up more than most. So what you must do is use a program that takes little memory but gets the job done. But typically a simple music player like RealPlayer should not take up much of your comptures processing..

Listening to music does not slow down my computer. If you have plenty of programs running on your computer or you have a low memory this would slow down your computer. I think you should buy a memory card to increase your memory.

ya it does. hence whenever i am listening to music i have to be careful not to run other programs which utilise more computer memory.

It really depends on your computer. Maybe you have a little RAM. Maybe you have plenty of programs running on background that keep your computer to a bootleneck. You should try a little maintenance of your computer. It could get your computer to a screeching halt!

Noway any activity based on the software part of computer can slow it down until and unless you have insufficient amount of ram in our system. As your system runs all processes on ram then if it is low in amount then the computer slows down it's activities.
