Now running my house, a 7 month old manx kitten named Jason

My adopted kitten Jason is pretty smart. He comes around in the middle of the night and wants to cuddle. Usually if I feel like cuddling, I roll over on my back so he can climb aboard. If I don't feel like it, I don't roll over. The little smart aleck has figured out that if I don't roll over, he can just sit on my head and that will get me to roll over. Who do you think is the boss here!

Hes sounds very sweet. I wish I could get another kitten. I don't think I will be able to get a cat now because of allergies. I used to have this sweet kitten that would crawl up on our heads and then lick our foreheads. It was the cutest thing.

He sounds like fun!
I have had cats all my life until almost a year ago. I never got another one after that but I might one day, especially as I know they can be such adorable creatures.

Lol...and some people say that cats aren't smart! I have FIVE cats who run my house, four young females and one big male. There isn't a whole lot of room left on my bed for me and when they think it's time to get up and eat I get up to feed them. I have two who lick my face constantly until they fall asleep and one who loves to dig in my hair until she dozes off. They also all do those things to get me up when they decide they're hungry or just bored.

I had three out of four all over me last night when I had insomnia. Dunno where the fourth one was. Maybe he hates crowds!

That's cute! My cat (she's full grown but small) likes to sleep on me too! I'm a side-sleeper and I often wake up in the middle of the night with a cat sleeping on my hip! I guess I've rather gotten used to it. She may be there EVERY night for all I know!

Jason sounds very cute! But you are right to stop at 4. I currently am down to 7 from 14. But I do not think I could be without a cat in my life, had them since I was little and I have allergies. I lost my home last year to forclosure and my family tried to get me to put my cats in a shelter or rescue to find new homes!! I fought for them and drove with them 600 hundred miles from So Cal to No Cal, all 7 in carriers, plus my 2 dogs following the moving truck with all our stuff. They are part of my family, no kids. my oldest is a 14 year old 5 lb sealpoint himalayan, my youngest are brothers 6 years old, 18 and 25 lbs. I worked for a vet for 10 years, hard to resist the homeless or misfits. Imagine being brought in to be euthaized for being to FAT! She's now a member of our family!

I do volunteer part time at a no kill cat rescue organization and it is amazing the reasons that people give for giving up pets. :-(

I know it is amazing! I have one who has a deformed face, she is an exotic shorthair persian, her breeder could not sell her so at 6 months she brought her in to put her down, she is now 10 years old and the clown of the house. When i brought her home she clung to my ill dad and slept on his head in his recliner and on his pillow, kept him warm. He would lie still for hours until he could stand the pain no longer so he would not disturb her. She kept him company until he passed away,
she was a year and a half. She snuffles and sneezes and has a perfectly round head, gets very congested. But I can't imagine life without her!!

Why don't you know? Cats ALWAYS have us trained and not the other way around. My two kitties love to sleep with me. Kissy usually likes to be at the foot of the bed, only due to my Pyewacket being more domineering. I'm a stomach sleeper so Pyewacket of course has to settle on top of my back. Do I dare move? Nope, not if I don't want to receive a real nasty look from his royal highness.

Ha Ha! Smart little Jason. Thats what you get for ignoring him lol. No only joking. I think if my last cat woke me up, I would maybe get annoyed with him.
Jason sounds a really lovely nature kitten indeed. He sure is the boss now and is very, very smart.

Yep, he's the boss. Unless I get really, really tired in which case he may just get removed...

It's amazing how quickly they figure out how to get us to do exactly what they want us to do, isn't it? I found out the hard way just how active cats are at night when my two cats decided to play tag at 3am. Now this wouldn't have bothered me at all except they made my bed part of their running course. So about 5 times over 20 minutes one cat or the other would pounce on me somewhere, a couple times right on my gut, and then bound away. Thankfully they tired themselves out...I never did figure out who won, but I think I was the big loser...OUCH!

That is so cute!
I remember when I slept over a friend's house, her cat woke me up by sleeping on my chest. It was purring while it did that so I thought it was a motorcycle in my dream or something, haha! Of course the cutie is the boss.
