I don't know about you guys, but I'm a very wary person - especially of promises that are made on the internet about how we'll make THOUSANDS if we join such and such..
Have you ever fallen for an online scam? Share your experiences!
I've been lucky (wise?) enough not to fall for any REAL scams so far - other than a few GPT sites I've joined that have since closed down or have been suspended (such as Pay Cage - was anyone else a member of this?) I didn't lose much, but it was pretty unexpected when I went to log-in one day and it appeared that the site had been suspended.
Which leads me to another question.. How do you determine what's legitimate and what's not? What things do you do to ensure you aren't being scammed?

I have been scammed numerous times. The way I find legitament sites now, is I read what other peopel say. If the site has a forum, I will check that out. I have compiled a list if you are inteest, the link is in my profiles, I have been page by all of them. I just do my research before hand and make sure I never invest any money.

It's smart of you not to invest any money. How do you know who to trust (you say that you read "what people say")?
And what sites have you joined that were not legitimate? Maybe you could share some of them with us, so we can avoid joining those sites, too?

Yes i have bee scammed 3 times by online money making scheme. You really feel ashamed of you when you get scammed online. I have not lost much of the money, but really feels bad. Being a software engineer i was fooled. Anyhow i learned from this mistake. So never invest in any money making scheme this is the best option.

good discussion as to make aware of at least user of mylot from the scam that prevail in internet through the name of product selling or site marketing. i have experience of bux scam and looses time and money and not get single penny. what i say and what not, its not worth now as scam sites is still there in the internet except that user who knows not prefer to join but what about those who are new-bee in internet and join and waste their money and time. that why, i like mylot, its not relieve me from stress but also for making friends.

i think, many have faced this. I have also. But Now I am very choosy about sites. Hope my present sites won't turn scam so soon. Thanks

I make sure to do some heavy research on the place before I sign up. I've heard too many stories of people being scammed online to be a victim myself.
